Teacher Profiles Kia Ora I am Lynda Richards the owner operator of BabySpace. I have my Higher Diploma of Teaching in Early Childhood. I have always enjoyed working with young children and in my 26 years working I have 16 years experience in supervision of centre’s and 6 years working as a visiting teacher in Home Based care and education. My personal philosophy is evident in the exceptional standard of care and learning environment at BabySpace. Kia Ora my name is Becca Poulter and I am the assistant Supervisor at BabySpace. I have been working with young children since 2004in centre’s both in Nelson and Dunedin since gaining my Diploma in Early Childhood in 2003. Working with children has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember and teaching infants and toddlers within the BabySpace team really fulfils that dream. Watching children grow and discover is an amazing privilege and I feel honoured to be part of such a caring and enthisiastic team. Hi I am Robyn Rowell; I came to BabySpace with 10 years teaching experience in the Nelson Region. I enjoy playing the guitar and singing to foster a love of music in the babies. I believe the BabySpace philosophy which includes Primary Caregiving offers a unique quality to the value of care they provide. Kia Ora, my name is Tracey Browning, I am proud to be working as a teacher at BabySpace being part of an awesome team. I have been working with young children for seven years and completed my Diploma of Teaching (ECE) in 2008. I think the best part of working with infants and toddlersis seeing them grow and develop, forming great relationships with adults and their peers.( Tracey is currently on leave expecting her third child!) Hi I am Vikki I have a Diploma in Primary Education and have worked in Early Childhood since 1998. I enjoy building warm, respectful and reciprocal relationships with your children. Hi I am Marion and have recently completed my Early Education training, I am committed to the RIE philosophy and its focus on respectful, reciprocal relationships. BabySpace is extremely fortunate to have the experience of 3 great relievers Sue and Lizzie are currently studying for their Diplomas in Teaching and Robyn brings a wealth of experience with her. An Early Childhood Advisor recent visit led to these comments being made “As I entered the centre I felt a very strong sense of respect, belonging, peace and trust. Each teacher displayed a huge respect for the tamariki in many different ways. This afternoon was filled with magic and many wonderful moments where teachers participated in supporting individual children routines while other teachers were engaged with children in explorative experiences. The centre philosophy based around respectful relationships is well embedded, nurtured and visible in teachers practice. We welcome you to visit and see quality in action. |
